ALYSSA SANTOS
Alyssa is an accomplished dancer and has always had a passion for the art style, Alyssa began dancing at age 3 with Deborah Thompson School of Dance and started competing at age 6. She is trained in lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and acrobatics and also has a minor in dance education from St. Roch’s Regional Arts Program. Alyssa has been teaching for 5 years for Brampton School of Dance and Deborah Thompson School of Dance. Alyssa graduated in 2023 and has continued her journey as a dancer and teacher.
Alyssa is currently a student at University of Waterloo and is working towards the completion of a Bachelor’s of Science in Honours Kinesiology. Alyssa strives to intergrate her education into the dance studio and connect her knowledge of anatomy with dance. Alyssa is intending to use her undergraduate degree as a pathway through the medical field with the goal of becoming a physician.
Alyssa has won various awards at competition for her distinct passion and commitment to her technique, including special awards, overalls, and scholarships. Alyssa has achieved many RAD Ballet examinations with Distinction and has had the opportunity of attending several workshops at the National Ballet of Canada.
Alyssa loves dancing, teaching, and choreographing. She is excited to share her passion with her students and help them grow their passion for the art as well. Alyssa is extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with IMD and is beyond excited for a great year!
