Lisa Collins is the proud Director of IN.MOTION Dance School. Lisa loves sharing her passion for dance with all her students and staff. She is incredibly proud of what IN.MOTION offers to our KW Community.
IN.MOTION is a place where dancers and their families feel welcome and supported. Our studio is a space where dancers of all ages and abilities can come together, make new friends, and explore their love for dance while receiving high quality dance training. A dream come true!
Most recently, Lisa joined forces with 9 other studio Directors in Ontario to help write the “Ontario Dance & Performing Arts Studios Workplace Guidelines for COVID-19” and was featured on CTV News for her efforts. Lisa is an advocate for dance in Ontario.
PRIOR TO BECOMING THE DIRECTOR OF IN.MOTION IN 2008…
Lisa enjoyed a successful professional career as a dancer that taught her so much and made her childhood dreams come true. Lisa trained daily growing up with the intent to someday hit the stage as a professional dancer.
Lisa has been trained in all dance forms in Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, Miami, New York and Los Angeles. Lisa had a successful performance career of her own as dancer for over a decade. Her credits include many cruise ship contracts as a Dance Captain/Dancer/Flyer, company work (Jazz & Modern), theatre, the NBA & CFL, various TV and film credits and Industrial/Corporate jobs across North America.
Lisa is a well known and accomplished teacher and choreographer in Canada. She has taught professional level dance classes across Southwestern Ontario at workshops, Universities and various studios. Lisa was a proud faculty member at Metro Movement Dance Studio in Toronto for many years. Lisa has adjudicated dance competitions across Canada.
Lisa directed LMC Productions, a company housing many different aspects of the entertainment industry including casting, production and talent development. LMC Productions expanded internationally by installing Production Shows for Celebrity Cruise Lines Inc. and cast and aided in the rehearsal process for Japan Cruise Lines. LMC Productions jump started 100s of dance careers aboard cruise ships around the world.
Lisa Collins was honored with the award “Woman of the Year”, Arts and Culture for her contributions to the area of Kitchener-Waterloo. Lisa is a performer, choreographer, teacher, adjudicator and internationally recognized casting agent.

Lisa Collins Lisa’s students can be found dancing around the world on multiple cruise lines, with Drayton Entertainment, Stratford Festival, Toronto Dance Theatre and on film and television.
Lisa’s IN.MOTION graduates have been accepted to continue their training at Ryerson University, Sheridan College, George Brown College, Conteur Dance Academy & with the Intrepid Dance Program. Many graduates have moved on to successful careers in dance as Studio Directors, You Tube Stars, performers, adjudicators, teachers & choreographers.
Lisa is equally proud of her dancers who did not pursue dance as their career path. Lisa is proud to develop well-rounded, self confident young adults who have become an integral part of their greater communities. Graduates have pursued careers in education, financing, medicine, marketing & engineering.
Lisa is so proud of ALL her Graduate Dancers.
Many of Lisa’s students have continued their love for dance with their University Dance Teams, where they compete at dance competitions and have grown into beautiful leaders and choreographers.
Lisa’s current students continue to win multiple awards & scholarships at dance competitions and workshops. Although, training top notch dancers who graduate as beautiful dancers is Lisa’s main focus, she does enjoy dance competitions and is very proud of her successful team. Lisa always strives to do her best for her team.
Her teacher assistant training program, where teen dancers shadow and learn to teach dance has developed top notch dance teachers who now teach all over the KW/Cambridge area.
Lisa’s passion while teaching is to help young dancers achieve their ultimate best and her “signature” in the industry is her ability to provide high quality technical training while running a successful, professional business.
